Modular residential sections are created and transported to the construction site for assembly. Manufactured and mobile homes are categorized as personal property and depreciate over time.

Building a traditional home typically takes between 9 months to a year, factoring in elements such as permits, inspections, weather conditions, and more. In contrast, prefab steel houses typically require only 3 to 4 months from inception to completion. These prefabricated structures are manufactured in controlled factory conditions and undergo online inspections throughout the building process. Notably, the assembly on-site takes just 5 to 7 days once all components arrive.

The cost of a prefab steel house encompasses construction, transportation to the final construction site, and the basic setup of the house. It does not cover any special customizations during construction. For instance, if the house advertised includes linoleum flooring but the buyer prefers travertine tiles, the additional cost for this customization will apply. Additional expenses may also arise upon reaching the site. If the site lacks a septic system, one needs to be installed. Similarly, if utilities aren’t available, they must be added. Clearing land for construction may also be necessary, incurring additional costs. While these extra expenses are not entirely concealed, they might not be immediately evident.
