Container House
We offer pre-engineered shipping container home plans that are simple, yet beautiful. Our designs are guaranteed to give you the minimalist look you want, while making sure your house is still functional and practical.
Simple, stylish, and minimal- the Weekender features a loft for sleeping, living room area large enough for a small couch or loveset, kitchenette, bathroom with shower, toilet, and small sink.
Our popular model: Ground level bedroom, loft above kitchen/bathroom, all in a 40’ container. Luxurious kitchen, full-size appliances, bathtub/walk-in shower.
Constructed within one 20′ container, the Backyard Bedroom is minimal and efficient with a ground floor bedroom, bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower. This does not have a kitchen.
The Bachelor is our most compact layout yet. Constructed within one 20′ container, it features room enough for a ground floor bed, armchair, kitchenette and bathroom. Because of its size and simplicity, the Bachelor(ette) makes for a great backyard ADU (auxiliary dwelling unit) or a mountain top retreat.
Our popular model, the Pioneer, is built in a 40’ container. It has a luxurious kitchen, full-size appliances, ground floor bedroom, living room, and bath options.
The Dwell Well combines a 40′ & 20′ container creating 480 sq. ft. If you like to cook and entertain then this plan might be for you, offering the largest kitchen out of all our floor plans. It also includes a ground floor bedroom, luxurious bathroom and space for a stacked washer and dryer.
Two separate units constructed within one 40′ shipping container, 160 sq. ft. per side. Each side contains one bunk bed, bathroom and kitchenette.
Constructed within one 40′ shipping container this floor plan offers sleeping for four with a kitchenette and full sized bathroom.
We love to get creative with designs and builds, so if you have something crazy in mind, HIG housing has the team to make that dream come to life. If you are looking to use multiple shipping containers, you have to consider the structure of the container and the land you are placing it on as well. Shifts can have negative impacts on the structure of your shipping container home which could lead to failure. Some of our favorite projects are those that start with a wild idea and then come to fruition after hours of hard work.
As you can see, there are a wealth of options available for shipping container homes and once you enter the custom build space, the options are quite literally endless.
